Pre-order now. TAAMI will be available from October 10.

The body knows how to find its own balance. It just needs a good reason, every day.

Taami is that reason: a beautiful wooden object with no sharp edges, designed to become part of the home.

You step onto it, find your balance, step off. What happens next is entirely up to you, naturally, by listening to your body, in a different way every day.

Taami is an anagram.

An ingenious linguistic exercise.
Five letters that come together to create new meanings.

Maat, the Egyptian deity who sustains the world, the perfect balance between human beings, nature and the world, the harmony maintained through a constant flow of relationships, adjustments, actions and reactions.

Taami can also become:

AMATI: An invitation to treat your body and mind with kindness.

TI AMA: A promise that the care you give yourself comes back to you.

One tool. Many possibilities.

One use can lead to another, unexpected one, discovered through listening, curiosity and free experimentation.
Some use Taami as part of their yoga or Pilates practice. Others bring it into a physiotherapy studio. Others keep it at home or in the office, like a piece of furniture made to be truly used, to work standing up instead of sitting all day.

Training

Stepping onto Taami immediately puts the body to work: feet, ankles, pelvis, back and core work together to find a new balance. It is the same mechanism the nervous system uses with every step, made visible here and something you can train.

With practice, control begins to change. At first, the body reacts: it stiffens, searches for stability. Then it learns. Movement becomes more precise, the core engages naturally, and posture begins to adjust on its own, even after stepping off Taami.

Wellness

Staying balanced requires attention, and attention leaves less room for everything else. For a few minutes a day, it becomes difficult to think about anything else: the body takes over, and the mind grows quiet. It happens naturally, without having to look for it, whenever the body is fully engaged.

Ritual

A simple, everyday ritual. A gesture that can last three minutes or 30. No sense of effort. No work. Quite the opposite.
Just instinct, small movements, a smile at the inevitable mistakes. No performance, because balance is not a goal to be reached.

The body changes every day, and every day balance feels different. That is why Taami does not impose a fixed routine. It becomes part of a personal practice, and gradually part of the day itself without having to think about it.

How to Use

Standing. Sitting. Lying down. As support during a workout. As a pause in the day.

There is no single right way to use Taami. Each person finds their own way, guided by their body.

Swaying, pretending to walk, doing small bends. Playing with balance, seeking muscle exertion. With eyes closed in silence. Or with eyes open to be in the present.

Anything goes.

And again: Taami is excellent support, a protection, for the abs and back when the exercise is still unstable or not precise. And it serves, when placed on the floor upside down, to gently stretch the spine.

Find your balance

Materials

The board is made entirely of wood, a renewable and inherently sustainable material. The cross-laminated layers of birch and ash plywood give it strength, flexibility and lightness.

Precisely because it is natural, each wooden element is unique: grains, shades, and slight colour variations characterise its surface, making each Taami unique.

The cushion is a separate element made from a high-performance technical fabric with recycled, bi-stretch fibres, designed to provide comfort, support and freedom of movement.

Every piece is made entirely in Italy and hand-sanded by skilled craftspeople.

Who is it for

For anyone who wants to improve balance and control of movement over time, at any age.

For those who practise mind-body disciplines such as Yoga and Pilates, and for physiotherapists who work on movement with their patients.

For those who work in an office or at home and want an object made to be used. Taami adapts to spaces that were not designed for movement and, when not in use, can remain on display like a piece of furniture.

For companies looking for an unusual gift or a meaningful benefit for their employees.

The body knows how to find its own balance.

Taami doesn't teach it: it trains it, day after day.

Taami. Balance your life.
